The Rockettes

So tday was the day I had dreamed of since learning I was going to be the mother of a littl girl, taking her to The FOX Theatre....the greatest place on earth in my opinion. OUr first trip there together was to see The Rockettes (on of my favorites!!). For those that know me well, know my dream of actually being a Rockette. As a dancer my local dance team had small "Rockette" styel dance troupe that I sincerely loved being a part of. But I was a realist, there wa not way I was ever going to be Rockette. So I hung up my tap shoes after high school. (Well except for the one time where I wore my tap shoes and my Santa dance costume to a costume party at the Pi Kappa Phi house. No one quite got that I was dressing up as a Rockette. But that story is for another time and another blog...definitely not a family blog.)

Anywho.....MR was not quite sure what to expect. But luckily she loved it! Of course dressing up was a BIG part of the day. We (I) planned her outfit accordingly.

All dolled up and ready to hit the road.

MR and A posing pretty before the big show!

Now I know what you are thinking...something in this picture does not belong at a Rockette show. Maybe the camel?? Correct! But not at THIS Rockette show. They had a live Nativity afterwards and then we found out where the animals were and got to have an impromtu petting session. MR and Grammy saying hello to the camel.

All in all it was a great day with our great friends. Can't wait to do it again!!

The Big Feast

MR's school had their Big Feast (as the kids called it) this week. It was so cute seeing all of the kiddos dressed up. MR's class were dressed as Indians.

These boots were made for walking

She just had to wear my boots.

When Friday comes...

MR is just plain wiped out after a long week at school. This has become what we witness on Friday nights. Usually she is carried in from the car like this...

MR is thankful for....

MR had a homework project ot make this past weekend. She was given a feather that she had to write what she was thankful for and then decorate. Grammy was here to help us withthe decorating.

MR is thankful for God giving me a baby brother. (Ahhhhh, how sweet! Yes this was the third thing she was thanful for. The first two involving candy, so I thought this the most appropriate. Is that wrong????)

Halloween Fun

The week of Halloween was a busy one for us!

We took MR to a Trunk-or-Treat one night. This was at a local church, where the kids walk around cars that have their "trunks" open and decorated. It was a lot of fun and MR got tons of candy. After that she jumped on the jumpies and we rode a little hayride.

One day, we went to pick our pumpkin to carve, but MR was more interested in picking the wagon.

It was a rainy Halloween, but MR still got ot go trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. She got loads of candy, but her most fun was coming back home, drinking hot chocolate and handing out the candy to the "big kids".

Halloween Ballet

MR's ballet class was allowed to dress up in their costumes for one class.
