Sweet Baby Matthew

We finally got to meet Matthew, our newest nephew! He is so sweet and tiny!

Then it was time for Thad to play rough with Sarah Anne and Mary Riley.

Feeding the horses

While at Memaw and Granddaddy Riley's farm, it finally stopped raining long enough to go feed the horses some carrots. Mary Riley decided to eat hers instead.

Very proud of the carrot.

Feeding the horses with Matthew. (Right before both of them stepped in the mud.)

Playing in the country

We were back in SW Georgia for the weekend. Our friends, the Adams family, joined us and I kep Summer super busy taking lots of family pics (will post those later).

Below are some pics of Mary Riley playing outside in pajamas on a cold morning with Aunt Julie (my sister), Uncle Tommy and thier big baby, Smallz.

Two special little babies...

We have had two special little babies born in to our lives recently.

January 6 - Rhett Abrahm Little, born to our good friends Greg, Melissa and Hannah Little. Abrahm made a surprise entrance 8 weeks earlier than expected. He weighed 3lbs, 13oz. Since he was born so early he is expected to stay in the NICU for about 6 weeks. But he is a little fighter! Please keep the Little's in your prayers.

January 12 - Matthew Lyle Jones, Jr. was born as expected! Our little nephew weighed in at 6lbs, 12oz and is just perfect! We got to visit him this past weekend and he is such a sweetie. Mom, Dad and big sister Sarah Anne are doing great! I will post pictures soon.

Haircut time!

Some of you know about our disasterous first haircut experience. (I will not go in that right now.) So I am been putting off getting MR another haircut. I t has really been getting long and needed a trim. So I was super excited when my friend Summer suggestd I talk to her hairdresser, Mandy, who makes house calls. Yippee!!! It was great!! MR only cried a minute and then acted very sweetly. Below are some pics of the after and the surprise MR got for being so good (a My Little Pony and Chick-fil-a for dinner)

PS. I did take pics of during the haircut, but for me to show them to you would mean I would have remembered to put in the memory card.

Necklaces

Mary Riley recevied an awesome necklace making kit from Ashley for Christmas. So she was able to make necklaces for everyone. Here is a pic of the necklace she made for herself and Thad.

A stroller built for two

Mary Riley has many dolls! She has had a problem carting them all around in her single doll stroller. The solution: a double doll stroller! It is the cutest little stroller and she loves it!

An injury

Mary Riley is the "queen" of injuries...real ones and some that are not so real. This particular time, she feel backwards and hit the back of her head on our floors. She needed ice, but we have found the next best thing is frozen corn!

Christmas in Dixie (or SW Georgia)!

On the day after Christmas, we headed to SW Georgia lots more of our families. (Thad and I are both from the saem small town, and lots of families are still there.)

Our little city girl turns in to a "country" girl once she is on the farm. She hardly lets me put a bow in her hair (Gasp!) and only wants to wear "farm" clothes. But you will see below that she still has a little princess in her.

Is this not the cutest! Granddaddy Riley has a little buggy that hooks up to Chrissy. The kids (and Granddaddy) love it!!

It's a wonderful day!

Merry Christmas!
We had a great Christmas and hope each of you did as well. My sister and her husband came to see us, as well as our friends, The Adams.

Mary Riley had the best time. Santa was very generous as well as Grammy/Granddaddy and Julie/Tommy.

Did you know we have a Princess living at our house? Princess Mary Riley that is! With six new pairs of Princess shoes and a Princess dress-up trunk she is ready for a royal court!

Look what Santa brought!

Snow White is our favorite...right now.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is one of my favorite days of the year! The excitement of Christmas is getting to me and everyone seems to be in a good mood this day. No exception was our house. My parents were in town for Christmas and spent the day with Mary Riley. She cooked Rice Krispie houses and helped us make some Christmas candy. Then we went to the Christmas Eve service at NorthStar...it was awesome!

Once home, Mary Riley got ready for bed in her Christmas jammies (Baby Michelle had matching jammies as well...are you really surprised?). Mary Riley opened one gift and then we set out the cookies for Santa (gluten-free of course!) and some eggnog. We also had to setout our reindeer food ina bowl inside, as it was raining outside. Then fast asleep to wait for Santa!
